Stock RWA Perpetual Contracts OI Surpasses Commodities in June, Grows 7.9x to $1.3B

According to Foresight News, stock-related Real World Assets (RWA) perpetual contracts open interest (OI) surpassed commodities for the first time in June, becoming the largest category among RWA perpetual contracts. Stock RWA OI grew 7.9 times from $166 million at year-start to $1.3 billion, accounting for 35% of total RWA OI that month, with commodities following at $1.2 billion. The growth was driven by popular storage stocks including SK Hynix, Micron, and SanDisk.
