Trump Removes Syria From State Sponsors of Terrorism List After 45-Day Notice Period

According to U.S. Secretary of State Rubio, President Trump decided yesterday (July 8) to remove Syria from the state sponsors of terrorism list following a 45-day pre-notification period to Congress. During a meeting in Ankara with Syria's interim government president al-Sharaa, Trump sent a letter reiterating the delisting decision and indicating that U.S. businesses are prepared to invest in Syria.
