Two Philippine Government Vessels Intrude into China's Huangyan Island Waters on July 23; Coast Guard Conducts Enforcement

According to China's Coast Guard spokesperson Jiang Lüe, two Philippine government vessels (ships 3012 and 3018) intruded into China's Huangyan Island territorial waters on July 23, despite repeated warnings from China. The Chinese Coast Guard took necessary measures including shadowing and blocking the vessels to drive them out.

China's Coast Guard stated that Huangyan Island is Chinese inherent territory and vowed to continue maritime law enforcement activities in the region to protect national territorial sovereignty and maritime rights.
