UBS: Micron's Long-Term Contracts Secure Through 2029-2030, Backed by $40-50B Prepayments

According to a UBS research report, Micron Technology's long-term contracts with customers are sufficiently robust to weather any market downturn for years to come. UBS analysts noted that contract pricing is set low enough that it will likely take until 2029 or 2030 for adequate supply to reach the market and pressure those price floors, making customer defaults unlikely. The analysts added that Micron has also secured $40 billion to $50 billion in customer prepayments, which would serve as a substantial financial buffer against potential defaults.
