U.S. Court Clears $71M in ETH for Aave Transfer from Arbitrum, Delegates Vote 91% in Favor

ETH-4.49%
ARB-6.88%
AAVE-5.31%
According to a U.S. District Court order issued Friday (May 9), Judge Margaret Garnett modified a restraining notice that had frozen 30,766 ETH inside Arbitrum DAO since May 1, allowing the assets to be transferred to Aave's digital wallet. The modification explicitly protects any party initiating or voting on the transaction from violating the freeze order. Arbitrum delegates voted to approve the release on Thursday, with 182.2 million ARB tokens supporting the measure and roughly 91% of voting power in favor. However, the funds remain subject to the restraining notice once transferred to Aave; if the court sides with North Korean terrorism judgment creditors in ongoing litigation, Aave could be compelled to surrender the ETH.
