U.S. Military Deploys Forces in Caribbean Capable of Attacking Cuba on Command, Region's Largest Concentration Outside Middle East

GateNews
According to Politico, the U.S. military has deployed forces to the Caribbean capable of executing an attack on Cuba awaiting presidential approval. The Pentagon has positioned troops over recent months as the region now hosts the largest concentration of American military assets globally outside the Middle East. The deployment includes the Nimitz-class carrier strike group, multiple guided-missile destroyers and cruisers, unmanned reconnaissance aircraft conducting extended surveillance around Cuba, and the USS Kearsarge amphibious assault ship on standby. U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio stated that Cuba, positioned 90 miles from U.S. territory, represents a failed state threatening American security.
