U.S. Military Discloses Bitcoin Research for Cybersecurity, BPI Reports on July 15

According to Bitcoin Policy Institute, U.S. military disclosed research into Bitcoin for cybersecurity purposes during a Senate Armed Services Committee hearing on July 15. Indo-Pacific Command Chief Samuel Paparo revealed that the military is studying how to leverage Bitcoin to strengthen America's cybersecurity capabilities and disclosed that his command operates Bitcoin nodes. BPI highlighted this disclosure as a major achievement in its Q2 quarterly report, noting that multiple Senate committee members cited BPI research during questioning.
