According to CCTV News, U.S. National Intelligence Director Tulsi Gabbard submitted her resignation to President Trump on May 22, citing her need to care for her husband who was recently diagnosed with a rare form of bone cancer. Her resignation will take effect on June 30. In response, Trump announced that Deputy Director of National Intelligence Aaron Lucus will serve as acting director.
