U.S. Weekly Jobless Claims Fall to 215,000, Missing Forecast of 218,000 on July 9

According to the U.S. Department of Labor, initial jobless claims for the week ending July 4 totaled 215,000 on a seasonally adjusted basis, falling short of the market forecast of 218,000. The prior week's figure was revised upward to 217,000 from 215,000.
