XRP Escrow Falls Below 32.5% of Supply in July, Down from 35-40% Claims

XRP2.94%

According to pro-XRP lawyer Bill Morgan, XRP held in Ripple's escrow has fallen below 32.5% of total supply, contradicting the 35% to 40% figures commonly cited by critics. The balance has declined steadily over the past year from approximately 36%, as Ripple continues its monthly practice of unlocking 1 billion XRP while re-locking only a portion—averaging about 300 million XRP returned to escrow. At the current pace, Morgan estimates the escrow share could drop below 29% by July 2027.

XRP climbed 3-4% to trade at $1.12 following Ripple's July escrow release, with buyers defending higher lows and potentially turning $1.10 into a key support level.
