Golden Finance reported that on April 22, The Wall Street Journal reported on the 21st that, according to multiple sources familiar with the matter, U.S. Vice President Vance has temporarily shelved the original plan to depart for Pakistan to negotiate with Iran that day after a series of intensive meetings held inside the White House. The report said that a source familiar with the matter stated that although Vance may still depart for Pakistan later this week, or possibly as early as that evening, U.S. President Trump is privately discussing the possibility of completely canceling the trip. The source pointed out that the reason is that Iran is unwilling to make concessions on the issue of enriched uranium. Another source said that this decision was made because Iran refused to commit to taking part in the negotiations. (Xinhua News Agency)
