Jensen Huang's internal letter: OpenAI Codex has been made available to all NVIDIA employees, marking the official arrival of the AI Agent era
On April 25th, it was reported that Jensen Huang revealed in an internal email sent to all employees that OpenAI’s latest release, Codex (based on GPT-5.5), has officially been made available to all NVIDIA employees. Jensen Huang stated that approximately 10k employees have experienced Codex in advance and have achieved significant results in engineering, product, marketing, and other departments, with some employees saying it has “completely changed the way they work.” The email pointed out that Codex runs on NVIDIA’s Blackwell architecture, combined with AI infrastructure, enabling a leap from “chatbot answering questions” to “Agent autonomously completing tasks.”
Jensen Huang emphasized that the Agent will become employees’ “teammate” and “productivity multiplier.” Additionally, NVIDIA and OpenAI have established CodexLab and plan to launch training courses in the coming weeks to accelerate employee application deployment. Jensen Huang said, “Welcome to the AI era.”
