Trump threatens Europe not to impose digital services tax.

Golden Finance reports that on June 27, US President Trump said on social media: “Many European countries have been discussing the upcoming imposition of a digital services tax on US companies. Some of these countries are already close to implementing it. With this in mind, any country that imposes such a tax will immediately impose a 100% tariff on all goods it exports to the United States. This tariff will replace any trade agreements reached with the relevant country, whether those agreements have been implemented, signed, or have not yet taken effect. In addition, if the relevant country insists on imposing such a tax, the 100% tariff will take effect immediately. Thank you for your attention to this matter.”
