According to CNBC’s report, US President Donald Trump will preside over the “Cryptocurrency and Artificial Intelligence Innovators” dinner with a surprising ticket price of $1.5 million per participant.
This high-level event organized by the Trump-aligned super PAC MAGA Inc is one of the most expensive political fundraising events in recent history.
The dinner will also feature technology investor and influential venture capitalist David Sacks, who is welcomed by the rising fame of the cryptocurrency industry in Washington. Sacks and other figures close to Trump are known for helping to initiate significant regulatory changes in favor of digital assets, in stark contrast to the more cautious stance of the Biden administration.
In addition to the dinner on May 5 targeting wealthy political donors, Trump has planned a second cryptocurrency-themed meeting for May 22. This unique event aimed at “memecoin millionaires” will not accept cash donations. Instead, participants will be required to hold TRUMP tokens, signaling a deeper adoption of blockchain-specific fundraising models.
As MAGA Inc continues to make millions through these special dinners, it maintains transparency regarding how the super PAC spends its significant donation amounts.
