Gate News bot reported that according to the South China Morning Post, HSBC Holdings has officially launched its first blockchain-based settlement service in Hong Kong. This service uses “tokenization deposit” technology for payment settlement. Ant International, a subsidiary of Alibaba Group, has completed its first instant fund transfer using this tokenization service.
HSBC Holdings plans to expand this service to the Asian and European markets in the second half of this year, currently, the service is only available in Hong Kong.
