To increase persuasiveness, Chi created the character “Vu Minh Khai” – introduced as Chi’s husband, a doctor living in the US and experienced in the field of cryptocurrency. In addition, the group also has foreign “investment experts”, including the “Chairman of a pharmaceutical company in Singapore”. In fact, it is all created and controlled by Chi himself.

Lively conversations in the group were staged to build trust for sister A. The information is true, from 2020 to 2022, this couple transferred money to Chi multiple times with a total of more than 1.2 billion VND.

After waiting a long time without seeing any profits, Sister A finally arranged to meet Chi for a confrontation and discovered she had been deceived. In addition, a couple who knew Sister A was also scammed by Chi using the same method, losing an additional 220 million dong.

In court, Chi bowed his head and admitted guilt but stated that he could no longer afford to compensate.
