The Minister of State for Cryptocurrency and Blockchain of Pakistan, Bilal Bin Saqib, met with US officials to discuss blockchain regulation.
He met with Senator Cynthia Lummis and other senators in Washington, DC, as well as participated in discussions with the Financial Services Committee at the White House. Saqib emphasized Pakistan’s intention to become a global leader in the field of cryptocurrency and blockchain, while also mentioning plans to establish a strategic Bitcoin reserve fund. In a meeting with New York Mayor Eric Adams, he discussed the challenges facing the digital asset industry. Pakistan and New York have established cryptocurrency councils to collaborate on the responsible development of this sector. Saqib’s visit concluded his official trip to the US.
