Gate News bot message, Decentralized Finance project Aave announced on Tuesday the upcoming launch on the Sony L2 network Soneium.
The integration of Aave’s decentralized over-collateralized stablecoin GHO with Sonieum is being explored to achieve practical applications in areas such as payments, savings, and digital commerce.
Soneium has an ecosystem of 7 million users, currently covering native protocols such as Uniswap v4, Velodrome, StarGate, Lido, as well as Kyo Finance and SuperVol.
Stani Kulechov, the founder of Aave Labs, stated in a statement: “Aave aims to create a trusted and accessible environment where consumers are. Sony’s global reputation and Soneium’s focus on consumer-facing applications provide Aave with a unique opportunity to reach new mainstream users.”
This collaboration will include Aave participating in the upcoming liquidity incentive program, which involves partnering with the well-known blockchain Astar in the Japanese Web3 ecosystem, as well as 100 million ASTR tokens (currently valued at 4 million USD) to promote its applications.
Soneium announced this week the launch of a new game incubator aimed at bringing more traffic to the blockchain. Soneium is developed by Sony Group in partnership with Startale Group’s joint venture, Sony Block Solutions Labs.
