According to Mars Finance, Jin10 reported that the IMD Business School in Lausanne, Switzerland released the “2025 World Competitiveness Yearbook” on the 17th, which shows that Hong Kong’s global competitiveness ranking has risen two places to third in the world, returning to the top three for the first time since 2019. The Chief Executive of the Hong Kong SAR, John Lee, met with the media before the Executive Council meeting on the same day and stated that the yearbook assesses the competitiveness of global economies based on a combination of objective data and business opinions. The yearbook indicates that Hong Kong’s competitiveness has significantly improved, with a total score of 99.2 out of 100, an increase of 7.7 points, which is the highest increase among the top ten.
