Sonic Research has just announced SonicCS 2.0, a new consensus protocol based on DAG architecture with a layered voting mechanism, allowing parallel processing of transactions across multiple blocks. Tests on the 200 epoch mainnet show a doubling of speed and a 68% reduction in memory usage. The new Sonic client will be launched in the coming weeks.
