Jack Dorsey, the founder of Twitter and CEO of Block, has just expressed support for a new secure messaging app called White Noise. The app uses end-to-end encryption, decentralized identification on the Nostr infrastructure, and does not require a phone number or email.

White Noise aims to replace platforms like Telegram and WhatsApp with a choice focused on privacy, anti-censorship, and future support for Bitcoin payments via Lightning.

Dorsey has recently released a whitepaper for Bitchat – a messaging platform that does not require internet and operates via Bluetooth.
