Jin10 data September 7th reports that Thailand's newly appointed Prime Minister Anutin delivered a speech today (September 7th) after being appointed by the King at the headquarters of the Ruam Thai Sang Chart Party. He promised to adhere to the protocol reached with the People's Party to dissolve the House of Representatives within four months. The Thai Constitutional Court ruled on August 29th that the actions of suspended Prime Minister Prayuth Chan-o-cha during a phone call with Cambodian Senate President Hun Sen violated constitutional provisions, leading to the revocation of his prime ministerial position. On September 3rd, the opposition People's Party, which holds 143 seats in the House of Representatives, issued a statement supporting Ruam Thai Sang Chart Party leader Anutin's appointment as the 32nd Prime Minister, but with the condition that the new Prime Minister must dissolve the House within four months; promote constitutional amendments; and the Ruam Thai Sang Chart Party must not take measures to make its government a majority government. The People's Party will not participate in the cabinet and will continue to serve as the opposition. The Thai House of Representatives held a meeting on September 5th to vote for the new Prime Minister, and Anutin received the support of more than half of the members and was elected as Thailand's 32nd Prime Minister.
