According to a report by Jinse Finance, Matt Hougan, Chief Investment Officer of Bitwise, stated in an investment memorandum article released on the 15th that after the 1011 flash crash, he used three questions to determine whether it was a flash in the pan or a significant event:
- Is there a major market participant crash: the damage seems to be limited to individual investors.
- How does blockchain technology perform: Many DeFi platforms perform perfectly;
- Whether bombarded by investors' emails, phone calls, or text messages: There has been no response, and professional investors have basically ignored this information.
Therefore, he believes that the 1011 flash crash will not have any lasting impact, and the long-term forces driving this market—improvements in regulation, increased allocation by institutional investors, and the growing recognition that cryptocurrencies are disrupting all traditional markets—remain intact. Over time, the market will gradually regain vitality and refocus on the fundamentals of cryptocurrencies. At that time, the bull market will continue.
