Sign signs a contract with the Sierra Leone Ministry of Science and Technology to build digital identity and stablecoin payment.

According to Huoxing Finance, on November 9, the Ministry of Technology of Sierra Leone officially signed a memorandum of cooperation with Sign to jointly initiate a new chapter in the construction of the national Blockchain infrastructure. The first phase of cooperation will focus on building a digital identity system and a local stablecoin payment system, aiming to provide secure, transparent, and inclusive digital services to citizens nationwide at a very low cost, and to promote the country’s leapfrog development. During this visit, the Sign team also met with the Sierra Leone Minister of Finance, the Central Bank Governor, the CEO of eGov App, and representatives from the Christex Foundation, reaching a Consensus on the technical route, policy coordination, and implementation plans. This cooperation marks an important milestone in Sierra Leone's digital economy transformation and highlights Sign's leading position in promoting “national-level Blockchain infrastructure.”
