According to Jinse Finance, since the launch of the Bitcoin network in 2009 and up until 2023, the number of unique addresses holding a balance of more than 0.1 BTC has grown every year. However, over the past 24 months, the size of this group has been continuously shrinking.

Specific data shows that from December 8, 2023, to the present, the number of such addresses has dropped from 4,548,107 to 4,443,541.

A graphical analysis of this metric reveals that, although there were several brief fluctuations lasting for months during this period, the overall trend in the number of unique addresses was steadily upward, reaching a peak in December 2023.

Entering 2024, this figure remained mostly stagnant for a period and then began to decline, eventually falling to what is now a historic two-year low.
