Polygon Foundation CEO: Plans to increase TPS to 5000 transactions/sec within the next 6 months, and further improve to 100,000 transactions/sec within 12-24 months

ChainCatcher News, according to Polygon Foundation CEO Sandeep Nailwal, the recent Madhugiri hard fork upgrade on the Polygon network has increased the on-chain transaction processing capacity (TPS) by 40%, reaching 1,400 transactions per second. Sandeep Nailwal stated that the team has developed a clear technical roadmap, planning to increase TPS to 5,000 transactions per second within the next 6 months, making Polygon one of the highest throughput blockchain networks in the industry. Additionally, the second phase upgrade plans to further boost TPS to 100,000 transactions per second within 12-24 months, aiming to make it the preferred blockchain platform for global payments.
