Odaily Planet Daily reports that according to the latest report released by the Sovereign Wealth Fund Institute (SWF), by 2025, the total assets managed by global sovereign wealth funds will reach a record $15 trillion. Meanwhile, many sovereign wealth funds are increasing their investments in the technology sector and profiting from thriving markets. Overall, in 2025, the total investment by sovereign wealth funds in artificial intelligence and digitalization will amount to $66 billion. Middle Eastern sovereign wealth funds have been the most active in digital investments, with Abu Dhabi’s Mubadala Investment Company investing $12.9 billion in AI and digitalization, followed by Kuwait Investment Authority with $6 billion and Qatar Investment Authority with $4 billion. The Middle East remains a hub for sovereign wealth fund wealth. These seven Gulf region funds have invested a total of $126 billion globally, accounting for 43% of the total investments by state investors worldwide, a new record. (Jin10)
