  • Hyperliquid sent 10,000 HYPE tokens to ZachXBT, becoming his second-largest disclosed institutional supporter.

  • ZachXBT funds independent blockchain investigations through donations and publishes transparent donor rankings.

  • The donation follows past probes where ZachXBT flagged scams, exploits, and suspicious activity linked to Hyperliquid.

The Hyperliquid Foundation transferred 10,000 HYPE tokens, valued near $254,000, to blockchain investigator ZachXBT. ZachXBT confirmed the transfer publicly through Telegram, updating his donor leaderboard and disclosing supporting organizations involved in the contribution.

Donation Details and Donor Rankings

According to ZachXBT, the Hyperliquid Foundation donation ranks as his second-largest institutional contribution to date. He shared an updated leaderboard listing Optimism as his largest donor. Hyperliquid followed next, ahead of Octant and The White Whale.

Other disclosed contributors included Arbitrum, BNB Chain, Unipcs, Nouns, CL207, and High Stakes Capital. ZachXBT said he maintains public transparency regarding funding sources. He regularly publishes donor rankings to document financial support for his investigations.

ZachXBT operates independently and relies on donations to fund investigative work. He also uses the funds to address ongoing legal challenges. He remains pseudonymous and currently advises crypto investment firm Paradigm.

ZachXBT’s Investigative Work and Methods

ZachXBT focuses on tracing illicit cryptocurrency flows across multiple blockchains. His methods include address clustering and transaction analysis. These techniques help uncover links between wallets and identify fraud patterns.

Notably, he has tracked hundreds of millions of dollars tied to crypto exploits. His work has exposed scams, phishing operations, and coordinated thefts. These investigations often span decentralized exchanges, bridges, and privacy-focused networks.

On January 10, 2026, ZachXBT detailed a $282 million hardware wallet theft. The incident involved stolen Litecoin and Bitcoin from one victim. He reported that attackers converted funds through instant exchanges and privacy assets.

Prior Hyperliquid-Related Investigations

The donation carried added context due to ZachXBT’s prior investigations involving Hyperliquid. In March 2025, he identified a scam linked to a trader active on Hyperliquid’s decentralized exchange. The trader, William Parker, held a documented criminal history.

ZachXBT reported that Parker’s wallet received funds from phishing victims. He also flagged suspicious leveraged trades across Hyperliquid and GMX. Separately, he tracked a $400,000 exploit involving stolen Hypurr NFTs on Hyperliquid.

According to ZachXBT, his investigative scope extends beyond any single platform. He continues to publish findings across the broader crypto ecosystem.
