On June 26, ETHGlobal Waterloo 2023 selected 11 finalists out of more than 160 projects submitted. The 11 projects are AquaNet, Smarter Contract, Fukuro, Roll a Mate, Piggybank 6551 NFT, Smile DAO, a(i)udit, Tokenbound Titans, zBay, Token Rescue Buddy, and Copix.

The well-known encryption VC Spartan Labs said that in addition to projects targeting better user experience requirements in the encryption field, many new trends have also been observed, the most obvious being: 1. ERC-6551: Token binding account; 2. AI-driven projects; 3. ERC-4337: account abstraction.

Spartan Labs believes that 5 of the 11 finalist projects of ETHGlobal Waterloo deserve the most attention.

1、Piggybank 6551

Piggybank 6551 is an ERC-6551 based NFT where the metadata and appearance of the NFT changes with the ETH balance stored on the NFT. NFTs must be burned to retrieve stored ETH, just like a traditional piggy bank!

2, Fukuro

Inspired by the Japanese “lucky bag” culture, Fukuro is an ERC-6551 powered bundle auction marketplace where users can auction or bid on bundled NFTs containing other NFTs, ERC-20 tokens, and more.

3、A(i)udit

Combining the power of AI and smart contracts, a(i)udit uses ChatGPT 3.5 and a set of AI agents to help developers write, test and deploy smart contracts using natural language (i.e. hints), all in a single The tool is complete.

4、Luban the Paymaster

Leveraging the power of ERC-4337, Luban the Paymaster allows any asset on any EVM chain to be used to sponsor transactions on any other EVM chain. A big step forward for better user experience in a multi-chain world.

5、Smarter Contract

Smarter Contract is a cross-chain solution designed to optimize smart contract performance and save gas for end users by selecting the most cost-effective blockchain in real time.
