According to a report by Weifeng.com on October 1, Apple CEO Tim Cook said through BBC News today that Apple hopes to recruit more artificial intelligence staff in the UK. Cook reiterated that Apple is actively researching generative artificial intelligence technology and said he expected Apple’s investment in the UK and artificial intelligence to increase. He also highlighted that artificial intelligence is already behind several features on Apple devices, such as fall detection, crash detection and iOS 17’s predictive auto-correction.
It is reported that Apple now spends millions of dollars every day on conversational artificial intelligence research. The company is reportedly developing a chatbot tool that some engineers have named “Apple GPT” to counter OpenAI’s ChatGPT.
