-Ripple has unveiled its first tokenized financial market fund on the XRP Ledger platform, which is designed to increase liquidity and provide new investment opportunities.
Ripple and Archax have taken the groundbreaking step of launching the UK’s first tokenized financial market fund on the #XRP #Ledger platform.
This marks a significant advancement in the field of finance using blockchain technology.
Recognized as the first Fca-regulated digital asset exchange, broker and custodian, Archax has successfully tokenized a money market fund managed by UK asset management company abrdn.
The initiative is part of the £3.8 billion (Lux) Liquidity Fund and represents the first tokenized #XRP Ledger money market fund.
collaboration with #Ripple played a key role in this achievement. The company has invested £500 million in tokens linked to Abrdn’s Lux fund, reflecting its broader commitment to real-world assets (RWAs). According to McKinsey, tokenized money market funds currently manage more than ¥10 billion in assets, and the total market for tokenized assets is expected to reach ¥16 trillion by 2030.
This reflects the growing interest in blockchain solutions in traditional finance.
Key stakeholders highlighted the importance of the initiative. Duncan Moir of Abrdn noted that the use of xrpl has made the investment process more efficient and transparent. Markus Infanger of RippleX discussed the dynamics of the networked economy and praised the operational benefits of a tokenized RWA.
Graham Rodford, CEO of Archax, emphasized the need to create a reliable tokenization service for institutional investors. Starting in 2022, Archax will use Ripple’s custodial solution to securely tokenize, store and exchange assets, including units of financial market funds.
XRPL features such as tokenization, trading and escrow provide a scalable infrastructure for decentralized financial solutions (DeFi) for institutional investors.
