Golden Finance reported that Roni Cohen-Pavon, former Chief Revenue Officer of the encryption lending platform Celsius, will not be sentenced on December 11th. Former CEO Alex Mashinsky reached a plea protocol with U.S. prosecutors beforehand. In a document filed with the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York, Judge John Koeltl approved a request by United States Attorney Damian Williams to postpone Roni Cohen-Pavon’s sentencing hearing until after Alex Mashinsky’s sentencing hearing, which was originally scheduled for April 2025. Williams stated that the information provided by Cohen-Pavon “may be related to Mashinsky’s sentencing hearing”. Roni Cohen-Pavon pleaded guilty to US criminal charges in 2023 and has been allowed to travel to Israel on bail.
