Former German Finance Minister: "Take Bitcoin (BTC) Seriously!"

The crypto-friendly policies and strategic Bitcoin (BTC) reserve promise of President-elect Donald Trump are making a big impact worldwide.

At this point, while interest in Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies is increasing in many countries, French MP Sarah Knafo had called for a strategic BTC reserve for the European Union.

After the French MP, former German Finance Minister Christian Lindner also expressed support.

Former German Finance Minister Lindner criticized German Chancellor Olaf Scholz for not including Bitcoin in Germany’s financial strategy.

Speaking at the Federal Assembly meeting, Lindner stated that the USA leads the world with its crypto-friendly policies and accused the German government and opposition of missing out on the economic opportunities offered by Bitcoin.

Lindner noted that especially Prime Minister Olaf Scholz, Economy Minister Robert Habeck, and Opposition Leader Friedrich Merz have expressed no interest in the increasing role of cryptocurrencies in the global financial world.

Lindner, who appreciates the US’s efforts to create a strategic Bitcoin reserve, emphasized that Germany is falling behind.

Lindner, who also criticized Germany’s BTC sales, said the following:

The German government sold billions of dollars worth of Bitcoin at nearly half the current price. However, the US is preparing to embrace Bitcoin for the country’s economy.

The US will use the advantages that Germany can have with Bitcoin before us."
