Brother Zhang Guodong released a video on YouTube today with the title ‘Games Linked with Blockchain Are Doomed,’ explaining why games cannot be paired with blockchain. The key reason is that ‘cheating’ affects the economic balance within the game, leading to a rapid collapse of tokens. In addition, Guodong also expressed his belief that blockchain may have a future, but idealistic features like ‘Decentralization’ will not truly be realized. He emphasized that blockchain games cannot survive due to the ‘cheating’ factor, which makes in-game assets lose value. Guodong also mentioned that it’s difficult to completely eradicate cheating in games. He further expressed his view that blockchain may have a future, but its application won’t be as ideal as some industry professionals claim. He pointed out that virtual money cannot be depegged from real money, and for virtual money to rise, the existing financial system must collapse.
