Gate News message, April 15 — Anthropic has rolled out an identity verification mechanism for certain use cases of Claude, aimed at preventing abuse, enforcing usage policies, and fulfilling legal obligations. The process is powered by Persona and requires users to submit a government-issued photo ID, with possible live selfie verification.
