Gate News, on April 10, Bittensor co-founder Const responded to recent community controversies. Regarding the token release issue, Const stated that he has no authority to pause the release of subnet tokens; he only sold a portion of his alpha holdings, which resulted in changes to the release amount. This action is no different from what ordinary token holders do. On the question of community governance power, Const said that Covenant AI founder Samuel voluntarily left the channel and publicly explained it. After some administrative permissions were temporarily revoked, they were restored, and Samuel’s administrator status was not removed. Regarding allegations about the scale of token sales, Const denied that there was any large-scale dumping, saying that the amount sold was less than 1% of his total investment, and emphasizing that transaction transparency is a core principle of the dTao system. At present, the two sides still differ in their explanations regarding community governance and token operations, and related discussions are ongoing.
