Gate News reports that on March 26, the General Office of the Guangzhou Municipal People’s Government issued the “Implementation Plan for Promoting High-Quality Development of the Artificial Intelligence Industry in Guangzhou.” The plan proposes supporting key technology breakthroughs through methods such as “unveiling challenges,” encouraging various innovation entities to focus on fundamental theories, computing power, data, algorithms, and applications across the entire industry chain. It emphasizes breakthroughs in domestically produced AI computing chips, heterogeneous computing dynamic scheduling technology, and building an autonomous and controllable intelligent computing center architecture. The plan also focuses on multimodal data fusion modeling technologies in industries such as healthcare, transportation, manufacturing, energy, and education, as well as researching blockchain and privacy computing technologies. It aims to promote the development of automated annotation toolchains in fields like industrial quality inspection and financial risk control. The plan supports the development of key technologies for vertical large models, accelerates breakthroughs in multimodal perception for robots, biomimetic dexterous hands, embodied intelligence, and intelligent unmanned systems. It also encourages R&D and product development in intelligent sensors, EDA (Electronic Design Automation) simulation tools, core materials, advanced processes, and key equipment.
