Gate News message. On April 11, Iran announced the composition of the delegation for that day’s negotiations with the United States. The Iranian delegation consisted of 71 people, including the main negotiating team, the expert team, media representatives, as well as protocol and security teams. The delegation was led by Iran’s Islamic Consultative Assembly Speaker Kalibaf. Core members included Foreign Minister Alaragchi, Central Bank Governor Abdulnaser Hemati, and the Secretary of the Defense Commission Ali Akbar Ahmadián. In addition, Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Garibabadi, the Foreign Ministry spokesperson Baghae’i, Deputy Director of the Secretariat’s foreign policy division, Ali Bagheri Kani, Member of Parliament Seyed Mahmood Nabaviyaan, the Speaker’s assistant on international affairs Abolfazl Amuyi, and the Speaker’s strategic adviser Mehdi Muhammadi were also part of the delegation. Given the high complexity and sensitivity of the talks, the Iranian delegation was additionally equipped with a technical and expert committee. The U.S. delegation numbered 300 people, and a substantial portion of the personnel belonged to security, guard, and protocol teams.
