Iran Suspends Ticket Sales, Requires Individual Flight Approvals

GateNews

Gate News message, April 18 — Iran’s airline industry association announced on April 18 that ticket sales will be suspended nationwide until airlines receive the necessary permits from the Civil Aviation Organization. The association secretary stated that under current circumstances, ticket sales are not permitted, and airlines must apply for approval for each flight, whether domestic or international, before operations can proceed.

Ticket issuance is contingent on obtaining Civil Aviation Organization approval. The secretary also noted that some websites currently display tickets as available for purchase, but transactions cannot be completed, leaving users unable to finalize bookings.

Earlier on April 18, Iran’s Civil Aviation Organization announced the reopening of portions of Iranian airspace and multiple airports.
