Gate News message, April 27 — The U.S. has received a new negotiation framework from Iran transmitted through Pakistan, according to a U.S. official and two sources cited by Axios on April 26. The framework aligns with a three-stage negotiation structure previously disclosed by Lebanon’s Al-Manar television, with sequential focus on ending the conflict, addressing Hormuz Strait issues, and nuclear talks.
According to two sources, Iran’s proposal prioritizes resolving the Hormuz Strait crisis and lifting U.S. sanctions as the first phase. Under this framework, a ceasefire would be extended long-term or parties would agree to permanently end hostilities. Nuclear negotiations would only commence after the Hormuz Strait is reopened and U.S. sanctions are lifted.
