#稳定币 Seeing the news about Airwallex's latest round of financing, I have to say a few honest words. An 8 billion valuation and 330 million dollars in financing look great, but I'm more concerned about their efforts to build a stablecoin platform.

In the past two years, I have seen too many projects using the "stablecoin" banner to raise money. It makes sense for payment companies to create stablecoins, but one must also see clearly — the core of stablecoins is credit backing and liquidity. Airwallex has advantages as a licensed payment institution, I won't deny that. The question is, how many people will really use their stablecoin on-chain instead of USDC or USDT? Building ecological recognition from scratch takes time.

A 30% increase in financing valuation sounds good, but don't be blinded by the number. In the current environment where green financing is slowing down, longer intervals between financing rounds may actually indicate that the difficulty of financing is increasing. There are indeed still opportunities in the payment sector, but before jumping in, you need to ask yourself a few questions: What are the real application scenarios after the new stablecoin is launched? Will liquidity mining just be another round of harvesting investors?

My suggestion is to keep an eye on things and not rush to place bets. Wait for their product to actually launch and see the market response before making decisions. The secret to surviving on-chain for a long time is not to let financing news and high valuations cloud your judgment.
