12.22 Spot gold midday strategy

This morning, the spot gold surged with great momentum, advancing strongly in a one-sided upward trend. The price started from an intraday low of 4338.05, breaking through resistance levels of 4360 and 4380, reaching a high of 4401.22, and ultimately stabilizing at 4399.11, with an increase of 1.39%. The bullish momentum is extremely strong; today’s opening and last week's closing were both around 4338, and the price did not pull back to the opening price, indicating a gap-up rise, which shows that the buying pressure is very strong. In the short term, the space for a pullback is limited, and although there have been slight adjustments during the upward process, the adjustment amplitude is very shallow, and each time there is a pullback, a new high is quickly created, representing a typical short squeeze upward trend.

During the rally phase, strong bullish patterns such as the Red Three Soldiers appear, indicating active buying and continuous capital inflow; as it approaches the key level of 4400, although there is slight fluctuation in the K-line, no obvious top reversal patterns (such as Engulfing Bearish or Evening Star) have emerged, and it still primarily rises with small bullish candles, indicating that the bulls have not shown any clear exit signals.

Short-term advice is to rebound to around 4410-20, and a short position can be taken once, targeting around the 4460-50 position, with a stop loss at 4425. A breakthrough of 4425 requires a reallocation.
