This is what our Mk-48 torpedoes do.

The Mk-48 torpedo primarily sinks ships by detonating a high-explosive warhead of 295 kg directly beneath the keel, rather than hitting the side. This creates a massive gas bubble that lifts the vessel, breaks the bow, and causes catastrophic structural failure. The resulting damage floods the ship, leading to a rapid sinking.
