Bahrain calls on the United Nations to pass a resolution to open the Strait of Hormuz by force
Golden Finance reports that on April 6, Bahrain’s Minister of Foreign Affairs urged the United Nations to adopt a resolution authorizing the use of force to keep the Strait of Hormuz open, in order to avert a humanitarian and economic crisis. The Bahrain Minister of Foreign Affairs said: “This draft is not seeking to escalate the situation, but rather aims to provide a framework to prevent further collapse of the international system by emphasizing the necessity of protecting freedom of navigation and transit and stopping further attacks.” (The Wall Street Journal)
