Jinse Finance reports that on April 13, GoMining CEO Mark Zalan said: “Currently, capital discipline is more important than maximizing computational power,” and that new deployments of mining farms must meet stricter return-on-investment thresholds. In addition, the economic model for the next halving is also shifting from pure block rewards to other options, as “the profitability of this model is no longer what it used to be.” He predicts that stronger operators will place greater emphasis on energy issues and data center operations, and will also earn additional revenue by limiting energy consumption, providing grid services, and utilizing residual heat.
