Als Reaktion auf Spekulationen, dass Tesla öffentliche Optimus-Vorführungen reduziert habe, weil die Produktion die Markterwartungen übertreffe, antwortete Musk: „Nein, die Optimus-Produktion wird anfangs extrem langsam sein, weil alles völlig neu ist. Das ist nicht wie die Herstellung von Autos.“
