Laut Haoliang Xu, stellvertretendem Administrator des UNDP, hat die Organisation am 3. Juni während Proof of Talk 2026 offiziell die Blockchain Advisory Group ins Leben gerufen. Die Initiative vereint 26 Mitgliedsorganisationen aus dem Blockchain-Ökosystem, darunter die Ethereum Foundation, die Cardano Foundation, die Algorand Foundation, die Stellar Development Foundation, die Avalanche Foundation, die Web3 Foundation und die Filecoin Foundation. Das erste Treffen konzentrierte sich auf finanzielle Inklusion und digitale öffentliche Infrastruktur und untersuchte Hürden für eine breitere Akzeptanz digitaler Finanzdienstleistungen wie fragmentierte Zahlungsnetzwerke, Einschränkungen bei der digitalen Identität sowie Bedenken zur Interoperabilität.
