Credit Suisse releases Hong Kong stock 'Feng Shui Index 2025': Good prospects for the spring and winter seasons, with the wood industry showing the most potential
Shenzhen TechFlow news, on January 15th, according to the Hong Kong Economic Daily, CITIC CLSA released the Feng Shui Guide for the Year of the Snake in 2025, predicting a ‘sideways’ trend for the whole year. The report shows that the market will be good in the spring and winter seasons, but the long summer may be sluggish, with a slight decline for the whole year. The Hang Seng Index may consolidate sideways in June, and December will achieve the best performance in a single month of the Year of the Snake. In January next year, affected by the clash between the Rat and Snake zodiac signs, there may be a rapid pump.
In terms of the five elements analysis, the wood element is the most vigorous, and industries such as fabric, painting and framing, and art galleries are worth investing in; the water element ranks second, with the shipping, trade, film, and brokerage industries expected to remain strong, especially in the winter and summer; the fire element industry benefits from abundant wood energy, with promising prospects in the oil and gas, hairdressing, and corporate consulting fields; the earth element industry is generally stable, but will encounter opportunities at the beginning and end of the year, with development space in the fields of antique collectibles, consulting, and legal services; the metal element industry is relatively weak, with performance in specific areas such as clock and watch manufacturing, and aluminum alloy doors and windows, likely to be flat.
