Aave Expands Into Traditional Assets, Launches Securities Lending via V4

AAVE-1.81%
According to ChainCatcher, Aave founder Stani Kulechov announced that the protocol is expanding beyond crypto into traditional assets, launching securities lending and collateral lending services. The global securities lending market handles approximately $4.6 trillion in loaned securities annually, generating roughly $35 billion in revenue, but most returns are captured by brokers and platforms like Robinhood and Schwab. Aave plans to enable users to deposit tokenized equities (such as AAPL and TSLA) on-chain as collateral or lending assets through V4, allowing them to earn full lending fees with transparent pricing, no re-collateralization requirements, and no intermediary fees.
