At Least 20 Million Children Globally Have Adopted AI, Adopting It Three Times Faster Than Adults, UNICEF Says

According to the UN Children's Fund, on June 30, at least 20 million children have already used artificial intelligence, adopting it three times faster than adults, according to CCTV International News. The statement was released following analysis of data from 10 countries.

One-third of surveyed children expressed concern about AI being used for fraud or spreading false information, while one-quarter worried about their images or videos being manipulated into inappropriate content. UNICEF noted that children lack sufficient ability to avoid or question AI systems, while governance frameworks protecting children have not kept pace with rapid AI adoption.
